PEACH MOONSTONE Companion Stone

These beautiful PEACH MOONSTONE gallets are hand polished. Peach Moonstone is a fairly new and rare variety of Moonstone. It is a potassium aluminum silicate feldspar. The color is usually a tan brown to a very light peach/pink. This material is otherwise known as orange microcline feldspar. The material has variable levels of color intensity with veins one some pieces, and others having a shimmer like effect on the standing free forms! Generally Speaking - Microcline is an important igneous rock-forming tectosilicate mineral. It is a potassium-rich alkali feldspar. . Microcline typically contains minor amounts of sodium. It is common in granite and pegmatites. Microcline forms during slow cooling of orthoclase; it is more stable at lower temperatures than orthoclase.  We are selling these in three sizes.  All of the stones are flattened ovals.

SIZE: Small stones are 1-3/4" to 2" long, 1-1/4 wide and around 3/4" thick.  Medium stones are 2" long, 1-1/2" wide and 3/4" thick.  The Large size stones are 2-1/2 to 3" long, 1-1/2" to 2" wide and 3/4" to 1-1/4" thick.  This listing is for: MEDIUM.  The size of individual stones may vary.
