DALMATIAN STONE, spotted like the dog but without the barking

Like the dog of a similar name, these DALMATIAN STONES from Mexico are a mass of black spots on a beige background.  Although it is often called a jasper, it is not a true jasper but a feldspar quartz. They are unsorted so there is a small quantity of other stones or tiny pieces of wood in the stones.  These spotted stones feel light to the touch and great to run your fingers through. 

SIZE:  Extra-mini, approximately 4 to 10 mm, long (1/8" to 3/8")

WEIGHT:  Each package weighs 1/2 pound.

COUNT:  There are about 2000-4000 stones in a package.  Xmini stones are sold by weight and have been screened for size.  There is no guarantee on the count because of the differences between lots.  The count is only a rough guide for the buyer.
